Based on the latest updates, Vietnam has assisted the shipment of 450,000 DuPont protective suits to the United States last week. According to the statement from the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, the medical gear will help healthcare professionals in their fight the coronavirus. “The first of two initial shipments of over 450,000 made-in-Vietnam DuPont protective suits arrived in U.S. Strategic National Stockpile on April 8”.
“This shipment will help protect healthcare professionals working on the front lines against COVID-19 in the United States and demonstrates the strength of the U.S.-Vietnam partnership,” they added. On the other hand, Vietnam shared that they had donated 550,000 masks so far to five European countries. Right after the new, President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to share his gratitude.

Notably, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. Agency for International Development have been cooperating with Vietnam to observe and punctually respond to the evolving situation. A U.S diplomate also claimed that the U.S and Vietnam’s investments have proven productive during this crucial time. Finally, he added that the relationship between Vietnamese and U.S. health experts had played an essential part in the battle against COVID-19.
