U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson Discharged From Hospital!

This week, a spokesman has shared the news regarding U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s health. In details, he has been from St. Thomas’ hospital in London. The information came after a week after we got the news of him spending three days in an intensive care unit. However, the PM will not be returning to work immediately. Instead, he will continue to rest and recovery at the prime minister’s official country residence.

“On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas’ for the brilliant care he has received”. Previously, Johnson had tested positive for Covid-19 at the end of March. Following his discharge, Johnson’s fiancee Carrie Symonds has given praises to the medical staff at St Thomas’ hospital Sunday. She described that it was a “very dark” times during the last week.

“I cannot thank our magnificent NHS enough. The staff at St Thomas’ Hospital have been incredible. I will never, ever be able to repay you and I will never stop thanking you. There were times last week that was very dark indeed. My heart goes out to all those in similar situations, worried sick about their loved ones.” On another note, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has replaced Johnson to handle the nation’s response to the pandemic. Britain has been in lockdown since March 23. According to the latest update, the government plans to extend the restrictions.

The pandemic has infected at least 1.78 million people worldwide; while the death tolls now reach 109,000. So far, the U.K. has recorded the number of fatalities at 9,875 (latest figures from Johns Hopkins University); with 79,885 cases.
