A total of 150,000 people have recovered from coronavirus globally!

From the latest updates, we now know there has been a rapid increase in the number of positive coronavirus cases. However, there is still good news this week. Notably, a total of 150,000 patients in the world has finally recovered from the disease as of Monday. Up to now, we have reported around 765,000 coronavirus cases across nearly 177 countries and regions. This is a big rise since its first detected case in Wuhan, the capital city of China’s Hubei province, back in late December.

On the other hand, the number of deaths also reached 36,000, based on a report from Johns Hopkins University data. In details, the United States is now leading in the number of positive cases with more than 150,000 and nearly 2,800 deaths. Additionally, they also report a total of 5,000 recovered patients. Italy still stayed in the second place, but now faces the biggest number of deaths up to 11,000. Moreover, it also has 14,000 recoveries over 100,000 positive cases.

Italy, which leads the world in the largest number of deaths, has seen more than 14,000 recoveries out of its more than 100,000 cases. More than 11,000 deaths have been reported. Based on the many studies, the Covid-19 virus can effect in illness and could lead to even death. Furthermore, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) also state that there is a bigger chance that adults aged 65 or older, plus people who have serious underlying medical conditions of any age (heart/lung disease/diabetes) have a higher risk for severe illness from coronavirus.

Common symptoms

Meanwhile, the virus will only bring mild symptoms, such as cough and fever for people who become infected. You will mostly make a recover in around two weeks, instead of six like the severe cases. WHO officials have declared earlier this month: “Approximately 14% experienced severe disease and 5%were critically ill.”
